GRANGE BANK HOUSE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We are members of The Green Island Network and are proud to have achieved our Gold Award in 2006 and 2007/08.  Caring for the environment is important to us and we are committed to following a policy that promotes sustainable tourism. 

• By using recycled paper in our stationery as well as for facial and toilet tissue
• By using Fair Trade products whenever possible
• By using low energy lighting and light timers where appropriate
• By recycling all glass, plastic bottles, paper and cardboard
• By the use of water butts to recycle rain water
• By changing towels & bed linen only twice weekly [& for each new guest] saving on polluting detergents & water
• By composting appropriate kitchen waste
• By using environmentally friendly cleaning products where possible
• By providing thermostatically controlled radiators in your room
