Why not leave the car behind and explore the Island on foot or by cycle. The Isle of Wight has more rights of way per square mile than anywhere else in England. There are hidden corners just waiting to be discovered ~ and you are never far away from a country inn or tea room!
The Island has 9 longer inland walking trails including the new Yar River trail which follows the Eastern Yar River from source to sea ~ as well as the 67 mile long Coastal Path. We have a number of guides to trails on the Island that guests are welcome to borrow.
The Island is also great for cycling with a network of bridleways, country lanes and traffic-free cyce paths. A word of warning ~ the Island is not short of hills!
